Estonia, Iceland and Sweden...open is good

Just a little stat on GDP growth in 2011 in three countries in crisis-ridden Europe:

Estonia = 7,6%
Iceland = 3,1% (after coming from a -4,0% the year before)
Sweden = 3,9%

Is it a coincidence that these countries are among the most open in the world?

From scratch
I am making this blog (this whole site alejandroribo.com!) from scratch using html, php, mysql and codeigniter. It is a challenge but it's a great way to learn how to develop...Today I created the foundations of the data management and visualization = now I can write a post directly into the database and it will show on the page. It sounds geeky, doesn't it?
Sunday...

Still grey in London...some say "winter" in UK will last until June! Seriously?

One Saturday full moon

One grey Saturday in London. At least the temperature is mild, not too cold, and the air feels spring. A change from last week. Tonight it's full moon. It's going to be the biggest of the year, for it will be the closest to the Earth. A good moment for meditation. Enjoy it!

On Internet and politics

I recommend this article in OpenDemocracy.

My simple blog
This is my new blog. Simple. Nothing more. In times of all fancy buttons, slideshows...just wanted to simplify. I'll use images, sounds, text, video, but simplifying. Black on white.
